A future "Cuttin" horse

3 comments:

  1. Hey Vanessa, the term is used to describe a horse with rider that has learned how to "cut Loose" a steer or cow from the main herd so that it can be branded or castrated or whatever might be needed. A well trained cutting horse will do most of the work while the rider holds on. It's become a rodeo event. Quarter horses are well suited for this work. Hope that answers your question, when is the next rodeo in your area? JD

  2. Thanks for the clarification. To be honest I have no idea when the next rodeo is. I'll have to look into it...
